This page explains how to request deletion of your KYP account and personal data. It applies whether you signed up on kiyp.org directly or through the KYP Android app, since the app simply displays this same website.
1 What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following are permanently removed:

| Content you created | Job postings, applications, business ideas, resumes/CVs, group posts & messages |
| Activity | Notifications, connections, event registrations, engagement history |
This action is irreversible. Once processed, we cannot recover your account or its data.
2 What We Must Keep
As explained in our Privacy Policy, Kenyan law requires us to retain certain financial and audit records even after account deletion:
- M-Pesa payment confirmation codes and membership payment records, kept for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Records we are legally required to keep for tax, audit, or fraud-prevention purposes.
These retained records are de-linked from your profile wherever possible and are never used for any purpose other than compliance.
3 Delete Your Account

4 Processing Time
- Self-service deletion (logged in, using the button above): immediate.
- Manual requests (form above, or by email): processed within 30 days of us verifying your identity.
